How long will it take?
The DIALANG test has three parts:
A placement test —–(10-15 minutes) (Medium Level Difficulty)
A self-assessment test —-(optional) (10-15 minutes) You will opinion based questions to reflect on your own language skills. At the end of the test, you will have a chance to compare your test scores with your self-assessment
Language tests
Listening (15-20 minutes)
Reading (15-20 minutes)
Writing (15-20 minutes)
Structure (15-20 minutes)
Vocabulary (15-20 minutes)
The whole test takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. (NOTE: you can take just one part or parts of the test (e.g., Reading and Listening) and come back later to complete the other parts.
Instructions
Step1: Start the DIALANG Program.
Step2: Choose the language for the Instructions (Choose English) then press (>) to continue.
Step 3: If it’s your first time skip this step by (pressing (>) to continue.)
Step 4: Choose ‘English’ and the language skills (then press (>) to continue.)
Step 5: Complete the Placement test (then press (>) to continue.)
Step 6: Complete (>) or skip (>>) the Self-assessment questionnaire
Step 7: Complete the language skills tests and follow the instructions to the end.
Results
At the end of each section, you will be given a CEFR level score (Level A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, or C2), and feedback on your answer selections. Make sure you take a screenshot or record your scores and feedback.
